The aim of this course is to discover the difference between how the portrayal of romance has changed over the years in classical literature.

This course is about classical romantic literature
We will be looking at how romance is portrayed in the original text in comparison to today’s movie interpretation
We will study three texts which will be Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice and Romeo and Juliet
One the first week we will study the original text and the way romance is originally portrayed. On the following week we will look at the romantic scenes portrayed in the modern movie adaptation and then discuss the differences.
