About this event

Learn how to using rhyme and rhythm in your poetry in this fun, friendly and accessible online creative writing workshop! Lots of people write poetry, but many shy away from using rhyme in their work. Rhyme can be intimidating, but it can also be a lot of fun! This workshop will help you discover rhyme and rhythm as key components of your poet’s toolkit. We'll use a series of fun activities to create new work, explore different patterns of rhyme and rhythm, and discuss the importance of sound in your writing.

This workshop is great for writers of all ages and abilities, and a fab way to chase away the lockdown blues!

Poet and workshop leader, Leanne Moden, will share tips, techniques and tricks to help you develop and hone your writing skills!

This workshop will be delivered online via Zoom. Zoom is a web-based video calling service. In order to access this workshop, you will need an internet connection, and a computer with built-in camera or webcam, and a built-in microphone or speaker. The link to join the workshop will be emailed to you ahead of the session.
