About this event

Author and editor, Ele Fountain saw first-hand the heart-breaking effects of the refugee crisis whilst living in Ethiopia with her young family. She joins us in the Sillitoe Room at Waterstones Nottingham to talk about the book she was compelled to write about what she saw, Boy 87.

Seen through the eyes of fourteen-year-old Shif, Boy 87 is the moving story of one child refugee’s challenging adventure in search of a better life. Join us for the Nottingham launch of this highly anticipated, powerful and brave debut novel, at which you will have the chance to hear the author reading from her book, to ask her questions, and to have a copy signed.
