About MyVoice and the Virtual MyVoice event

MyVoice was born in September 2019 as a creative writing competition for 10 - 25-year olds in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We asked young people to write about social justice and what matters to them. Lots of young people took up the challenge and thought, picked up pens, opened laptops, and wrote. The result? A spectacular anthology that spans poetry, prose, and script. Speak Up! An Anthology of Young Voices launches today.

We are delighted to celebrate the twenty featured writers across four categories - 10 - 13, 14 - 16, 17 - 19, 20 - 25 - and we’ll celebrate them in this event, Virtual MyVoice. Jump into the chat, ask us questions, and celebrate these fabulous writers!

We look forward to creating new opportunities to ensure that our mission ‘building a better world with words’ continues to sustain and inspire us in the coming difficult months.
