Building on existing networks, over 10 partner organisations – including Nottingham City Council, Nottingham City Libraries, Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature, Read On Nottingham, ChalleNGe Nottingham, University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University – will deliver a diverse range of activities, events and projects to connect and celebrate Nottingham’s people, their stories and the power of storytelling in all forms – from literature to dance, and poetry to film.

Here you will find news of events and details of how you can get involved in what promises to be a year to remember, a Year of Stories.

Ready Set Read!

Nottingham City Libraries has an exciting programme of events across the summer. Our popular reading challenge in partnership with the reading agency is back.

We challenge children to read 6 books anytime from 8th July until 9th September. Earn stickers, rewards and a medal and certificate on completion.

Join us for an exciting programme of activities with something happening in every city library every week in August. From craft and Lego to magicians and poets!

For more information please visit our website at https://www.nottinghamcitylibraries.co.uk/summer-reading-challenge/ or pop into your local library to pick up a leaflet (from July).
