Sara Jane Potter

Sara Jane Potter writes novels. She is currently editing a contemporary literary work-in-progress whilst waiting for her Writing East Midlands mentoring – delayed due to covid19 - to commence. She’s a psychology graduate and a cataholic.

About Sara

Winner of a place on the Writing East Midlands (Arts Council) Mentoring Scheme 2019 with novel-in-progress, and recently shortlisted for Hachette’s Future Bookshelf publishing scheme 2020 and the Penguin Random House UK WriteNow scheme 2018, Sara has written many novels. Her first book was described as edgy, the second garnered praise from Curtis Brown, yet she is still striving for publication. She writes dark comic novels with crime and thriller strands and has had interest/feedback from literary agents like Simon Trewin, Felicity Blunt, Clare Conville and Julia Kingsford. Sara works part-time for the NHS and oil-paints to exhibition standard.
