Graham Caveney began his career writing for the NME in the eighties; he subsequently worked for many publications including The Face, GQ, The Guardian and The Independent.
He is the biographer of William Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg; co-authored a book of essays on American 'Blank Generation' fiction, Shopping In Space; lectured in American Studies at the University of East Anglia and The University of Nottingham; and is currently a freelance researcher.
His memoir, The Boy With The Perpetual Nervousness is released by Picador in August.
