Make a donation

The pandemic has impacted the finances of charities everywhere. We expect 2020/21 to be our toughest year yet. If you are passionate about supporting and celebrating a city dedicated to improving literacy and transforming young people’s lives, please support us today. We welcome donations of all sizes. A one-off donation or a regular donation – at any level – will go a long way to helping make a real impact on young people.

How your money helps

Our vision is for a city where everyone is reading and writing their way to a better life. For a city that is ranked 11th most deprived area in the UK for low levels of literacy, we believe reading and writing are two of the most powerful tools we have for lifting young people out of poverty and inequality.

Over the last year, we have effectively reached into BAME and disadvantaged communities through our partnerships with libraries, schools and youth offending units.

In 2019 we recruited 14 Young City of Literature Ambassadors to co-produce:

We do everything we can to help our children and young people achieve their full potential and learn the skills to build strong, resilient and joyful communities.

By donating to Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature, you will help us continue our vital work.

Corporate support

From volunteering and pro-bono services to corporate donations and sponsorship, we are keen to explore partnership opportunities and to enable companies to achieve corporate social responsibility objectives. Discuss the sponsorship of our campaigns, events and projects with Director, Sandeep Mahal. Please drop us a line here if you’d like to make contact.

Fundraise and help build a better world with words

Could you organise your own event? How about taking on a sponsored challenge? Whatever your idea, from bake sale to a literary lunch, we want to hear from you!

Thank you for supporting Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature, every penny will make a difference.
