Tentacles Call Out For Submissions

Tue 19 Feb, 2019

Poets are invited to send in their work for inclusion in an exciting new anthology being produced.

Submissions are now open for the Tentacles Anthology of Poetry, a collection of work by D/deaf poet and poets with disabilities. Open to all ages and free to enter, we would like to invite writers to submit poems based on the theme of ‘identity’. You can interpret this theme in any way you choose, and submit up to three poems (up to 40 lines per poem) for possible publication in the anthology. The anthology will be published by Big White Shed and everyone published will be invited to attend a special book launch/sharing event, which will take place in Summer 2019. The judges for the competition are Neal Pike and Leanne Moden and we will be in contact with you by mid-April to let you know whether your work has been chosen for the anthology.

The deadline for entries is Monday 1st April 2019, so get writing!

Submit your poems:

Please send an email to and include your name, address, email address, contact telephone number and the titles of the poems submitted in the body of your email. Please attach your poems to the email, and do not put your name on the poem itself. This ensures that your work will be judged anonymously.

If you have any questions about accessibility issues relating to the competition, please contact Neal on
