Working together, we aim to open up the world of stories with the gift of books which will offer 500 families some escape from the harsh realities of tough times, and a chance to find solace, adventure, romance, travel and poetry.
We’re asking for public support to bring light and luxury into the lives of vulnerable families, using the power of books to connect with their lives. If you would like to donate a book or two, please ensure they are new or in mint condition. We welcome any personal messages of hope to readers added inside the books. Send us your books by Wednesday 14th December, to ensure the books are gifted to families before Christmas.

About the Switch Up Fund
Switch Up provide individual, life changing support to young people in communities affected by crime and violence. Through sport, mentoring and personal development, we improve the mental and physical wellbeing to give them the skills, confidence and motivation to realise their true potential.
This year, Switch Up will be supporting the wider community experiencing adverse effects across Nottinghamshire. The pressure of Christmas is fast approaching and people have still not recovered from the pandemic. Added to this, energy prices are rising, jobs are being lost, and the cut in Universal Credit is hitting families very hard. And their mental health is suffering.
Switch Up has launched an urgent appeal for cash donation to support these young people and their families with food parcels, warm clothes, books, toys, counselling and mentoring to support them through this difficult period.
