We’re used to book launches at Nottingham City of Literature – after all, this is a city with a large amount of talented authors and poets getting their words set down in print, and celebrating that fact.
Therefore, while we are invited to many literary launches, Notts children’s author Gareth Peters is the first instance we can recall of a literal launch: strapping a book to a high altitude balloon and sending it into the heavens. Here, Gareth explains more:
We think it’s a fine idea, and can’t wait to see Gareth’s work sent skywards. If you’d like to contribute, then here’s how. Fly over to his GoFundMe page now.
And should it be successfully funded, we’re looking forward to the book selfies – watch this (literal) space!
