Are you a budding writer? A literature enthusiast? Or just looking for something fun to do as we head off into the summer? Join us for the Chinese Write Now Festival 2022’s organised by China Exchange at Lakeside Arts! This national festival celebrates writers and writing from and about Chinese culture! This year we are excited to announce a packed programme for everyone to join with a fun family day of workshops and a series of author events: Experience first hand in the world of Water Calligraphy and Postcards to China for all ages; Exercise your writing and creativity with Will Harris’ in-person Creative Writing Workshop; Explore with well known YA author and illustrator Sue Cheung in her roller coaster ride from Chinglish to Maddie Yip’s guide for life and summer featuring UNESCO City of Literature Nottingham’s very own youth board members hosting the talk; Engage in an evening of talk - In conversation with Xinran Xue upon reflecting on her own experience in writing and shaping women narratives; Enjoy a night of panel discussion with a diverse group of writers on forming one’s identity through gender, sexuality, culture etc with Ken Kamoche, Hongwei Bao, and James Kramer.
