I have always loved to read, often getting in trouble as a child when caught under the covers reading by torchlight way beyond bedtime.
Now I am older I wish I had more time to get lost in a book as only literature and music can successfully take my mind away from the everyday. One book which wonderfully combines the two and has stuck with me is An Equal Music, by Vikram Seth. I was first eagerly turning the pages as I studied towards a degree in music and it seemed so incredibly relevant to my world at the time that I couldn’t put it down. But I suspect if I read it again it would still have me gripped.
