We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our communications work. Donate a few hours a week and become part of our very special network.
We run an internship and student placement programme with our partners, Nottingham Trent University to provide experience to students in the fields of literature programming, digital marketing and communications.
In addition, we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our communications work. Donate a few hours a week and become part of our very special network. You will make new friends, connect with different communities and learn, through a range of projects and activities. We reimburse volunteers for their travel and provide mentoring and we can act as references for longstanding volunteers.
Take a look at what past and present volunteers thought of their experiences at Nottingham City of Literature:
“My experience volunteering for Nottingham City of Literature got me started with being asked to help create a series of literature postcards; and eventually I was organising events and interviewing writers. Flexibility was key but also the eagerness to say 'yes' to every task, meeting, and event from which I could learn something new every time. And I was incredibly proud and honoured to have been of help in obtaining the status of UNESCO City of Literature. ”
*Please note: Applications should only be made by volunteers with a desire to support the work of Nottingham City of Literature. Volunteering should not be undertaken as work experience or as a work placement and it is not an internship.
